Book discussion groups added to Living Lightly Fair

MUNCIE, Ind. — A new feature for this year’s Living Lightly Fair — planned for Sept. 17 at Minnetrista — is book reading groups.

Anyone interested is invited to pick one of three books to read before the fair, and then join in discussions during the fair’s 10th anniversary celebration.

The books to choose from are:

  • “The Upcycle: Beyond Sustainability – Designing for Abundance,” by William McDonough and Michael Braungart
  • “An Other Kingdom,” by Peter Block
  • “This Changes Everything,” by Naomi Klein

Living Lightly is for anyone interested in being a better steward of the environment and learning how to develop a more sustainable lifestyle. In addition to the book groups, the event will feature activities for all ages, including yoga, canning demonstrations, medicine recycling, interactive art projects, food, music, speakers and more than 40 vendor booths providing information and products relating to sustainability.
